For me, Francos Pizza in Sofia, Bulgaria is one of life’s bittersweet revelations. To discover my favorite pizza place so late in life is a joy to be sure, but for that magnificent flavor to be 5000 miles away from my home is a cruel twist of fate. We went twice during our week-long stay in Bulgaria and I would have tried to smuggle some back to the states if I wasn’t so sure that I would have eaten all of it before I even made it to the airport.
Honestly amazing pizza here, with a menu that includes creative combinations of toppings as well as familiar favorites, all made with fresh ingredients prepared perfectly. The service and beer are also top notch.
The prices are very, very reasonable considering the quality you are getting so I recommend tipping heavily, places like Franco’s deserve all the encouragement they can get!
